Amberlee
We have recently held meetings on how to improve Old Mill Park in West Liberty, we have brought up a lot of good ideas & are hoping to start on them as soon as possible. Some of our ideas were adding in swings for special needs children because their isn't really anything for them to do at Old Mill Park (which isn't fair). Also we are thinking of trying to put the park to better use by putting on concerts and plays. We came up with the idea of maybe getting the band Stitch Rivet to play first, so that many people would come out. Hopefully more people will come to the meetings so we can officially get this started.

ReplyDeleteI have learned with the short time that i have been working with New Cities that it will be very good for this county. We need to do somethings to make people want to stay. The sprinkler idea for the park is great people will come from the counties around us to spend the day with their children. Then another thing that we would like to do is upgrade the facilites at old mill park so if someone wants to use it they dont have to wait for 20 mintues for 1 of 2 stalls to become unocuppied.
I also think that this program will go far, because Ive saw and noticed that young people are actually interested in getting this done. And they dont have these out of the blue ideas, the ideas we have actually are pluasable. One thing is Bridgett said that instead of building something to use why not just repair the old drive in? That would make tons of money for hte county. People would come from all of the counties around because the nearest on is in Stanton. I really like that idea, and i believe everyone else will to. IF people stick to this and work hard it will get done and West Liberty will be a New City in the end.
